The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
- Work with the Office on Women’s Health team to establish and implement several maternal mortality prevention and detection programs and develop procedures, practices, and work plans.
- Monitor contractors' performance to ensure the successful implementation of maternal mortality prevention contracts.
- Provide technical assistance and training to contractors regarding: best practices for the variety of maternal mortality programs; training, policies and procedures, and reporting; and compliance with state and federal laws.
- Develop and implement a data collection process for the contractors.
- Prepare and develop grant applications and budgets for continued funding.
- Write policies and procedures for the successful implementation of the maternal mortality program.
- Implement special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years or more years of professional experience in public health, mental health, education, social services, public or business administration, health care, or a closely related field. (Relevant experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for any deficiencies in the required education.)
- Expertise in working with diverse populations and stakeholders on complex subject matter.
- Possesses strong communication and organization skills.
- Experience using technology and a variety of computer programs (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, video-conferencing, and online survey platforms) for coordinating activities and project reporting.
- Experience in contract monitoring, developing contract deliverables, reviewing and preparing bid documents, budget development and budget tracking is preferred.
- Some travel will be required for conferences, trainings, and/or program oversight.
