The DAI Performance Management Specialist will provide direct insight into institutional operations by supporting: the evaluation of policy and programming; the development of research projects and proposals for funding; the sharing of information to support institutional operations; and providing reports to divisional leadership. A successful candidate requires effort toward continuous improvement of technical skills, as well as interests in fields like sociology, criminology, criminal justice, social work, psychology, and economics.
- Work with divisional staff on setting standards for data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Work with the department’s research, planning and process improvement unit to assist in the development of data analytics for the Division of Adult Institutions.
- Compile and provide reports using tables, graphics, and narrative for divisional needs.
- Using data to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and inform divisional leadership about performance management strategies.
Minimum Qualifications: The Candidate must have professional experience evaluating organizational performance.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills: (if applicable) • Functional knowledge of data management software such as Tableau, WebFOCUS, PowerBI, Qlik, or SAS Visual Analytics
• In depth knowledge of departmental computer systems used by divisional personnel, such as OPII, MoCIS, and SAMII.
• Advanced skills in Excel and Word.
• Ability to effectively guide, support and evaluate performance measures to achieve organizational goals.

A $2.00 per hour shift differential if you are assigned to a shift that begins on or between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00am and are employed at a 24/7 congregate care facility (i.e. institution, transition center, supervision center, or command center).
A $0.75 per hour maximum security stipend if you work full-time at a qualifying facility.
A $1.00 per hour restrictive housing stipend if you are assigned a regular post within a restrict housing/segregation unit at any facility.
The Department of Corrections currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years!
