The Placer County Information Technology Department is seeking to fill a Senior IT Specialist position to provide IT Field Support throughout the North Tahoe region. This is the only Senior IT Specialist role based in North Tahoe, requiring a highly skilled candidate with extensive endpoint support experience and the ability to work independently, efficiently resolving technology issues without immediate access to nearby teammates. The position includes scheduled on-site workdays as well as emergency technical response on-site days as needed. This role demands a proactive, service-oriented professional with strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
The ideal candidate for the Senior IT Specialist position in Placer County, Tahoe, will have extensive experience and expertise in ITIL, ITSM, and other industry best practices and standards. This knowledge will inform their high-level IT support capabilities and their commitment to continuous process improvement. Operating in a largely autonomous senior IT support role, the candidate will be driven by a strong motivation to deliver exceptional customer service while resolving IT issues and providing critical IT services to County staff
