    Who we are needing on our team: You are a natural in the water and enjoy helping people feel the same, especially with all the safety principles in a pool environment.
    You work well in a team atmosphere and take responsibility for making that team work well.

    Who you will be working with: You will be working with a very dedicated and safety-minded individuals, all under the direction of the Recreation Manager, a fantastic individual to be on a team with.

    Qualifications

    The first hurdle: We are hoping you have all of these important assets. If you don’t, please tell us how close you come. Knowledge and skill may be gained by successful completion of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification. You must be at least 15 years of age. (No getting around this one.) You have the knowledge and ability to perform CPR. You have knowledge and skills in performing and teaching swimming techniques. You have the ability to write, maintain, and complete records and reports in an accurate and timely manner. You must have good hearing for emergency and non-emergency situations for our pool patrons.

    What we offer to our Employees:

    Healthcare coverage – The City offers two plan options through Blue Cross Blue Shield.

    Retirement System – A 2:1 matching ratio through TMRS.

    Vacation – Employees will accrue 4 weeks of paid time off (Two weeks are automatically credited to the employee’s bank after successful completion of their introductory period, usually 6 months).

    Holidays – Immediately available upon hire, employees will receive  paid holidays off, a service date holiday and a floating holiday.
