RoleCommunity Health Services is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition education services to the community and WIC participants. This position also involves supervising and supporting the Nutrition Education Specialists (NES).
The ideal candidate will be credentialed as a Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

Major Duties, Responsibilities- Provides expert and specialized nutrition and breastfeeding counseling to clients of the Women, Infants, and Children's (WIC) program that have been identified as having a high-risk condition.
- Collaborates with medical providers to provide the most appropriate supplemental foods and formula for clients with specific nutrition and health concerns.
- Serves as a mentor and resource for other WIC staff. Provides clinic coverage as needed to maintain caseload.
- Provides nutrition education and training to staff. Conducts nutrition assessments and provides education and support for WIC clients and their infants.
- Provides community education related to the importance of good nutrition and healthy lifestyle habits.
- Participates in local organizations and agencies by providing expertise in the area of nutrition and providing community nutrition presentations.
- Participates in the hiring and training of new staff.
- Supervises NESs and provides team leadership to assigned WIC site.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum QualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or related field.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience as a Registered Dietitian.
Additional Requirements:Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.
Must possess Registered Dietitian license.
Must meet requirements for continuing education as outlined by the American Dietetic Association and Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Must possess a current fingerprint clearance card Issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
