Successful candidates may be selected for the Pool Swim Instructor Training Academy where they will receive City-sponsored training toward obtaining certification as an American Red Cross certified Pool Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor (WSI). American Red Cross Lifeguarding and WSI courses each consists of an online component and 2 days of on-site skill assessment and instruction. Upon completion of the certification trainings, candidates then must attend mandatory in-service training.
Training Dates: - Certification training will be scheduled upon hire. Certifications must be completed by May 26, 2025.
