click here. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Deputy Treasurer to lead and manage the Treasury operations. In this role, you will be responsible for investing the Treasurer’s pool of approximately $2.7 billion at a high point and overseeing the day-to-day cash flow needs of the County, Schools, and Special Districts. Essential duties include managing banking operations, handling bond issuance, administration, and disclosure.
Under the direction of the Treasurer-Tax Collector and Assistant Treasurer-Tax Collector, you will also be responsible for developing and managing financial policies, overseeing budget preparation, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
This position involves supervising a team of three direct reports and nine total positions, participating in committees, managing financial systems, and preparing detailed financial reports.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public finance, excellent leadership skills, and an ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders. They should be skilled at managing office priorities and staff while consistently delivering high-quality work. As a self-starter, the candidate must be able to work independently, applying their understanding of state and federal laws, past experience, and thorough research to solve problems effectively.
