The Museum of Missouri History tells the story of Missouri’s military history from 1750 to the present. The Museum holds two annual open house events that draws thousands of attendees each year.
Job Location: This position will be located at the Museum of Missouri Military History, 2405 Logistics Road, Jefferson City, MO 65101
- Assist with the planning and development of a specialized curatorial program for the Museum of Missouri Military History involving collection care, exhibits, research, and/or public educational programs.
- Participates in the management of collections and exhibits.
- Participates in accessioning, cataloging, preserving, and utilizing collections.
- Assists with the design, development, scheduling, and installation of art, history, and natural history exhibits which may involve preparing specialized exhibits or acquiring traveling exhibits; develops public programs to promote these exhibits.
- Receives, records, catalogs, and accessions all collection articles in a manner consistent with standard museum practices.
Minimum Qualifications - Valid State Driver’s License
- Be able to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications - Working knowledge of working in museums and artifact preservation.
- Basic knowledge of PASTPERFECT museum artifact catalog program
