Position Description
Performs advanced, specialized work to assist in the organization and implementation of various projects and programs. Work is performed under minimal supervision within established policies with latitude for independent judgment. Works on special projects as assigned. May substitute for supervisor during his/her absence.

Major/Essential Functions
The Dermatology Department at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center provides a comprehensive range of clinical services for diagnosing and managing skin, scalp, and nail disorders. Our clinic also offers a variety of cosmetic services, such as Botox, laser treatments, microdermabrasion, and sclerotherapy.

The following Major/Essential functions will be:
  • Collaborating with our external telemedicine teams (TDCJ, Dalhart, and other rural community locations) to schedule and provide telemedicine services.
  • Analyze telemedicine utilization, no-show rates, and patient satisfaction. Identify ways to improve the telemedicine experience and the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's telemedicine program.
  • Work with the Clinic Administrator and PSS Supervisor on the financial understanding of the telemedicine program and future use of external funds to support the Telemedicine program.
  • Collaborate with Telemedicine faculty on schedule changes, conflicts, and maintenance.
  • Answering a multi-line phone for the telemedicine clinic.
  • Assist with scheduling, bump lists, telemedicine referrals, faxes, registrations, eligibility, and telemedicine management.

Required Qualifications
High school plus six years experience in related field. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
