Job Description and DutiesUnder the general supervision of the Information Technology Manager (ITM) I, the incumbent provides technical and administrative services for the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) cloud tenants, Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Enterprise level storage, backup, Storage Area Network (SAN) and Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) implementations. The incumbent works independently as a high-level technical lead on the maintenance, monitoring and administration of DOJ’s Enterprise cloud tenant infrastructure environment and acts as a team lead on the larger and more complex systems software projects related to enterprise storage, backup, and enterprise SAN solutions. The incumbent works closely with customers as well as other DOJ service areas in the analysis of business and technical requirements and product specifications to develop and implement a common enterprise-level cloud tenant infrastructure. The incumbent also works with storage, backup and SAN customers to help implement, manage, and maintain enterprise storage, backup, and SAN solutions for DOJ. The incumbent will also support MDM staff to administer and manage DOJ mobile devices including configuration and security management, help troubleshoot and resolve MDM issues as well as assist with the processing of incoming MDM tickets, phone calls, and email, as needed.

Perform high-level technical tasks in the engineering and support of the following disciplines within the Strategic Transport & Technology Services Branch lines of business and serve as a high-level technical lead in:
• Cloud tenant, Enterprise level storage, backup and Storage Area Networks
• Maintaining, monitoring, and administering DOJ's enterprise cloud tenant infrastructure environment.
• Researching, analyzing, and helping to make recommendations on future cloud technology.
• Collaborating with other DOJ teams to design and implement cloud-based solutions for various DOJ projects.
• Onboard, offboard, manage, and administer cloud tenant customers.
• Managing, modifying, installing, testing, and maintaining all DOJ backup and SAN related hardware and software.
• Helping to implement data recovery schemas for 24x7 management and support of DOJ’s backup, SAN and Disaster Recovery (DR) systems and associated recovery plans.
• Managing, administering, provisioning, and configuring SAN, Backups, and storage infrastructure.
• Analyzing, troubleshooting and fixing technical issues as they arise for the department.
• Monitoring and tuning SAN, storage, and backup performance and operations to ensure that they are meeting DOJ standards and expectations.
• Supporting Mobile Device Management (MDM) at DOJ.
• Providing consulting on some of the department’s technical projects. Lead small to medium projects.
• Act with high-level skills on DOJ headquarters, hub site and field office SAN infrastructure.
• High-level knowledge in O365/Microsoft Office, VISIO.
• Knowledgeable in vSphere 7.0/8.0, TCP/IP, firewall rules, DMZ, Active Directory, Windows 2019 system administration.
