The Position

Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.

The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) is recruiting to underfill a Management Analyst 3 position in Reno. This position reports directly to the Department Director, with guidance from Deputy Directors. Responsibilities for the position include collaborating with department human resources to develop and administer policies and procedures, administer Commission policies and provide Committee support, development of the Department's Strategic Plan, and various reports that involve data that are analyzed and summarized enabling informed decision-making. Specialized tasks include being the ADA Coordinator for the public, Dream Tag Advisory Board program liaison, language access plan coordinator, and tribal liaison for the Department. The position will serve as the legislative liaison and manage the legislative program for the Department. This position will need knowledge of the legislative process and know how to read and interpret Nevada Revised Statutes and Nevada Administrative Code. This position will testify at the Nevada Legislature and the Nevada Board of Wildlife Commissioners meetings. Experience developing and administering policies and procedures along with experience on the State regulation process and compliance are preferred. To Qualify:

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. Some positions may require applicants to attach a copy of their college or university transcripts indicating the required credits at the time of application. Special Requirements This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
