The City of Chandler Information Technology Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as an IT Infrastructure Analyst. The position is scheduled to work 5 days a week, 8 hours per day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Innovate and Implement: Design, deploy, and manage state-of-the-art Microsoft-based solutions, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and other core services.
  • Linux: Administer and maintain robust Linux servers and environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Virtualization Expertise: Implement and manage advanced VMware virtualization solutions, including regular updates and maintenance.
  • Security First: Develop and enforce top-notch security policies, procedures, and protocols to protect our valuable data and systems.
  • Seamless Integration: Configure and manage Azure Single Sign-On (SSO) for a secure and streamlined authentication experience.
  • Cloud Pioneer: Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure and services, focusing on Azure and other leading cloud platforms.
  • M365: Oversee the administration and support of Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Proactive Monitoring: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Collaborative Projects: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support innovative business initiatives and projects.
  • Stay Ahead: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • System Maintenance: Manage Windows Updates and VMware Updates to keep systems secure and up to date.
  • Active Directory: Administer and maintain Active Directory, including Azure AD, ensuring efficient user and resource management.
  • Certificate Management: Manage system certificates and DNS configurations to maintain a secure and efficient infrastructure.
  • Compatibility Assurance: Ensure compatibility and support for Microsoft Windows 2019/2022 environments.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Server Management: Oversee the management of Windows and Linux servers.
  • DFS and File Systems: Manage Distributed File System (DFS) and file systems, including SMB and NFS.
  • Time Synchronization: Ensure accurate Network Time Protocol (NTP) settings.
  • Printing Services: Manage Linux CUPS printing.
  • Automation: Handle VRA/VRO automation.
  • GPO Management: Administer Group Policy Objects (GPO) on the server side.
  • WSUS: Oversee Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) for updates.
  • Datacenter Management: Handle datacenter operations, including managing fiber switches for SAN.
  • Scripting and Tasks: Maintain scripts and scheduled tasks on servers.
  • Advanced Technologies: Implement and manage VxRail, Dell PowerStore, SAN/NAS technologies.
  • Backup Solutions: Manage Rubrik backup and other backup technologies.
Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft products (Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP etc.).
  • Strong experience with Linux administration.
  • Proficiency in VMware virtualization technologies.
  • Solid understanding of security principles and best practices.
  • Experience with Azure SSO and cloud services.
  • Expertise in Microsoft 365 administration and support.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional, CompTIA Security+, etc.) are a plus

Desired qualifications
  • Extensive experience with Windows Server administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in managing Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) for patch management.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and task management.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for deploying and managing Windows applications.
  • Understanding of Windows security best practices, including managing firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory and integration with on-premises Active Directory environments.
  • Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions for Windows environments.
  • Knowledge of file system management, including Distributed File System (DFS) and Network File System (NFS).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, particularly VMware, in a Windows environment.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and automation tools.
  • Knowledge and experience with VxRail, Dell PowerStore, SAN technologies, and Rubrik backup solutions.
This is a regular full-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available.
