***Note that Director of Communications for LAX Development Projects is not a part of this reporting structure, but will collaborate with team members that report to APCRDII***

LAWA Marketing & Communications Division is seeking to fill a new position responsible for supervision of a team of Public Information Officers (PIO) and ensuring reporting team maintains standards and consistency in all content. Manage team responsible for all related communications for LAWA, including social media, digital communications, public safety and emergency response, sustainability, and other areas.

This position will manage and oversee communications initiatives such as media advisories, press releases, and scripts; coordinate event logistics, construct program agendas, and compile executive summaries while also overseeing multimedia assets and online content; manage press conferences, groundbreakings, emergencies, and events related to air service and concessions; manage the creation and distribution of communications content, exhibits, videos, and presentations for internal and external audiences. Collaborate with all Airport Affairs teams and other divisions at LAWA for significant events at VNY or LAX airports. Generate strategic communications plans, write internal messages, foster relationships with diverse airport divisions to stay informed about LAWA's activities. Utilize tools for digital content creation and deliver executive speeches and public comments.
