Position Summary Under the direct supervision of the Director of the Basic Needs/Economic Crisis Response Team (ECRT) department, the Basic Needs Assistant Coordinator provides critical support for the Basic Needs Center and the Economic Crisis Response Team through case management for students experiencing basic needs insecurities and financial crises. The Basic Needs Coordinator will be trained in the case management framework developed by the Basic Needs Center to engage with students, assess their circumstances, and resolve the presenting concerns by referring students to university and/or community resources. This position will require that the Basic Needs Assistant Coordinator grow and maintain extensive knowledge of basic needs resources and basic needs challenges that students in higher education may face. Position Summary Under the direct supervision of the Director of the Basic Needs/Economic Crisis Response Team (ECRT) department, the Basic Needs Assistant Coordinator provides critical support for the Basic Needs Center and the Economic Crisis Response Team through case management for students experiencing basic needs insecurities and financial crises. The Basic Needs Coordinator will be trained in the case management framework developed by the Basic Needs Center to engage with students, assess their circumstances, and resolve the presenting concerns by referring students to university and/or community resources. This position will require that the Basic Needs Assistant Coordinator grow and maintain extensive knowledge of basic needs resources and basic needs challenges that students in higher education may face. Using established guidelines, this position will also support Basic Needs Center team members in outreach, marketing, and programming efforts to decrease stigma of seeking support and increase utilization of basic needs services and financial well-being. This position will support the operations of the Basic Needs Center and be trained in managing the front desk and lobby. This position will be trained to support the team in the following areas as needed: inventory tracking of basic needs items, support with the programming efforts of the space, organization of the department files/policies/procedures, support with establishing written procedures for the Basic Needs Center, and general assistance with administrative duties of the Basic Needs Center.
