Summary

The Crook County Sheriff's Office is currently accepting applications for a full-time Patrol Deputy. Starting pay for certified applicants ranges from $30.27 to $34.05 per hour, while uncertified applicants start between $27.96 and $30.27 per hour. In addition to competitive wages, the position offers optional overtime at premium pay, paid shift differential and on-call time, paid holidays and overtime opportunities, 100% paid Law Enforcement retirement, and 100% paid single health insurance. This position operates on a rotating 5-on / 2-off / 5-on / 3-off schedule. Applicants must be able to pass a physical fitness test, written examinations, a psychological examination, and a thorough background investigation. Law enforcement experience is preferred; however, the Sheriff's Office is willing to train the right candidate.
