These values - integrity, patient-centered, respect, accountability, and compassion - must guide what we do, as individuals and professionals, every day.ResponsibilitiesPerforms in a security department providing security for all hospital functions.Performs duties as security officerMaintains a public presence of securityDispatch Officer DutiesCharge Officer DutiesResponds to all incidents of aggressive patients and visitorsFollows all hospital rules and regulationsAttends all required Safety Training programsFollows the Hospital Exposure Control Plans/Bloodborne and Airborne PathogensDemonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environmentPromotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit team inter and intra departmentally to facilitate the department's/unit's ability to meet its goals and objectivesQualificationsEDUCATIONHigh School Graduate or GED required.EXPERIENCEPrevious law enforcement, military, dispatching, or security experience preferredLICENSURECPI, MOAB, Defensive Resources (Baton, Handcuffing, and OC Foam), and Restraint Certification must be obtained within 6 months. Valid Driver's license is required.SPECIAL SKILLSFamiliarity with Microsoft office products. Must be competent with computer skills, multitasking, and dispatching.
