Lateral Deputy Sheriff
The Oldham County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for a LATERAL DEPUTY SHERIFF, with immediate openings available.
All previous applicants need to re-apply.
Minimum requirements for all lateral applicants:
• Must have been employed as a full-time sworn police officer in the United States with a minimum of one year of full-time experience; and
• Must have completed a Kentucky Law Enforcement Council (KLEC) approved Basic Training Course, or be eligible for KLEC Peace Officer Professional Standards (POPS) certification; and
• If applicant is not currently a police officer in Kentucky, reciprocity must be granted by KLEC prior to submitting an application for employment. (Go to the KLEC website for more information - klecs.ky.gov/reciprocity); and
• Must not have had certification as a peace officer permanently revoked in Kentucky or another state.
Shift information: 10-hour shifts (1300 hrs to 2300 hrs) with rotating days off (including weekends off every other week).
Starting salary: Base salary of $59,703.99 - $70,302.69 annually (10% increase scheduled for July 1, 2025), dependent upon experience and years of service, plus KLEFPF (currently $4,300 annually).
