About the Job Role

As the incoming Police Station Accredited Representative, you will play a crucial role in supporting clients during some of the most challenging and important stages of the criminal justice process. This is an opportunity to work closely with experienced criminal defence solicitors whilst gaining exposure to a wide variety of cases, including serious and complex matters. The successful Police Station Accredited Representative will become an integral part of a growing and highly respected criminal defence team operating across the Midlands and London.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Representing clients independently at police stations and providing expert support throughout the detention process
  • Providing legal advice and assistance during interviews under caution
  • Supporting clients during the early stages of criminal investigations and proceedings
  • Working closely with solicitors and colleagues on a broad range of criminal defence matters
  • Liaising with clients, investigators and other parties to ensure information is communicated effectively
  • Assisting with the progression of matters from initial attendance through to ongoing case preparation
  • Gaining exposure to serious, high-profile and complex criminal cases
About You

You will already hold Police Station Accreditation and will have experience attending police stations independently on behalf of clients. The successful candidate will be passionate about criminal defence work and comfortable operating in demanding and fast-paced environments. This Police Station Accredited Representative job would suit an individual who remains calm under pressure and is committed to delivering exceptional client care.

You should also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Current Police Station Accreditation
  • Previous experience attending police stations independently on behalf of clients
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
  • A proactive approach and confidence working autonomously when required
  • Confidence using case management systems and legal technology
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive information accurately
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to remain calm, professional and measured in challenging situations
  • A genuine passion for criminal defence work and supporting vulnerable clients
