This full-time position exists to coordinate jobs, vehicles and drivers for the transport of hazardous waste, universal waste and non-hazardous waste from customer and company sites.Major ResponsibilitiesSchedule jobs and drivers for daily customer routesSchedule outgoing waste deliveries with other disposal facilitiesCoordinate incoming and outgoing loads for three facilitiesPrepare and review shipping papers and manifestsEnter data and maintain records of calls and driver activitiesEnsure compliance with DOT and RCRA regulatory standardsPromote a culture of safety and complianceQualificationsProven experience as dispatcher or similar positionKnowledge of appropriate transportation regulationsExperience with Microsoft SuiteStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailEducation and/or ExperienceCollege degree or equivalent experience3+ years prior experience as a dispatcher or in the transportation industryContinuing Education/Training: Persons filling this position must undergo an introductory training program to ensure that they are able to respond to emergencies by being familiar with emergency procedures, emergency equipment, and emergency systems.
