The City of Lapeer is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Part-Time Deputy Assessor. This position assists the Assessor of Record with a variety of technical and administrative duties related to assessing operations, including assessment administration, database management, appraisal support, sales studies, GIS-related functions, and customer service.This is a part-time position anticipated to work approximately 2–3 days per week, not to exceed 30 hours per week, depending on operational needs and seasonal workload demands. Hourly wage range is $22.00–$30.00 per hour depending on qualifications, certifications, and experience.Preferred qualifications include experience in municipal assessing, BS&A Assessing.Net software, GIS systems, and State Tax Commission certifications (MCAT or MCAO). Candidates should possess strong organizational, communication, and computer skills, along with the ability to work independently and professionally with the public and other agencies.A valid Michigan Driver's License is required.
