The recruitment is exempt from the hiring freeze (Administrative Order 358)The Department of Public Safety (DPS), Division of Alaska State Troopers, is currently recruiting to fill Court Services Officers (CSO) positions around the state.SalaryAnchorage: $38.30 per hourJuneau: $40.22 per hourBethel: $57.45 per hourDillingham: $52.47 per hourEffective July 1, 2026, the wage for this position increased by 4%.Qualified applicants will attend the Department of Public Safety Training academy beginning January 2027 and July 2027.ResponsibilitiesConduct duties for the Commissioner of Public Safety under AS 22.20.100-140, including providing physical security of courtrooms, chambers, and other court spaces and grounds of court facilities; coordinating and providing prisoner transport; serving court writs; and providing protective details and security for judicial officers.Provide prisoner transportation, process service, court security, and judicial protection to the court system.Organization, Mission, and CultureThe Department of Public Safety strives to preserve the peace, enforce the law, prevent and detect crime, and protect life and property.
