Job OverviewPosition: Court Case Manager 1 (salary range 10). Full‑time 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday 8:15 a.m.–4:45 p.m.ResponsibilitiesGreet and assist the public; provide general information regarding minor offenses, civil, domestic violence, small claims, appeals, criminal, probate, vital statistics, and jury matters without giving legal advice.Assist the public with filing requests, make certified copies of court documents, and perform index searches.Accept pleadings and issue summons and subpoenas; administer oaths and notarize documents.Accept, prepare, and issue marriage license applications and licenses.Receive and process payments for traffic fines, criminal bail, fines, restitutions, filing fees, and other court fees; recall warrants when needed.Docket routine civil paperwork into the case management computer system; act as backup for preparing files to the Appellate Court Records Office.Process District Court debt judgments, calculate prejudgment interest, insert attorney fees as directed, enter dispositions in the case management system, and disperse to parties.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh school graduation or GED and at least one year of office clerical experience.Additional office clerical work experience may substitute for the high school diploma or GED on a month‑for‑month basis.Completion of 36 semester credit hours or 48 quarter credit hours of accredited college coursework may substitute for the required year of office clerical experience.Completion of an appropriate vocational training course (legal secretary, paralegal, or office skills) may substitute for the required office clerical experience on a month‑for‑month basis.Benefits12 paid holidays.Medical, dental, and optional vision coverage.Employer‑paid life insurance.Public Employees Retirement System (PERS).Alaska Supplemental Annuity Plan (SBS).Alaska Deferred Compensation Plan.Accrued personal leave for vacation, illness, or personal needs.EEO StatementThe Alaska Court System is an EEO employer and proudly promotes diversity.#J-18808-Ljbffr
