Assistant Solicitor-General -Jury Trial Division The Gwinnett County Solicitor General's Office is currently accepting resumes for an Assistant Solicitor General to work in the Jury Trial Division. Principal duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to investigating and prosecuting misdemeanor crimes and Title 40 traffic violations, reviewing case files and ensuring that all relevant evidence has been secured, properly documenting, and organizing files for efficient investigation, prosecution and disposition; interviewing lay, expert, and law enforcement witnesses; analyze case files and making charging decisions; researching and writing motions and court orders; negotiating with opposing counsel; representing the State in Bench or Jury trials; and other duties as assigned.Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate must be a licensed member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia; must be able to multitask and work under occasionally stressful time constraints.The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written; must be detail-oriented; strong organizational and interpersonal skills are a must; must be able to work well in a team environment, while at the same time have the ability to work independently; must demonstrate a strong sense of personal responsibility and leadership skills, as well as a commitment to serving the community and working with the public.Employment is contingent upon the completion and satisfactory results of a criminal background check.The Gwinnett County Solicitor General's Office is an equal employment opportunity employer and in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, will provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities.Salary Range: Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
