Forward Deployed Engineer - Security Clearance Required

Compensation: $170,000-$220,000 base salaryAs a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) at Virtru, you will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvements in observability, performance, and reliability across our platform infrastructure. Your mission will be to enhance the operational excellence of our systems, making a significant impact on data privacy and security initiatives within the federal government sector.Key ResponsibilitiesDeploy and configure Virtru's Data Security Platform (DSP) in customer and partner environmentsLead technical integration projects with government agencies to ensure successful adoption of data protection solutionsCollaborate with customer technical teams to customize and optimize DSP implementations for specific use casesProvide technical guidance and support during the deployment phase of customer engagementsWork directly with government clients to troubleshoot integration challenges and ensure project successDocument deployment processes and create technical guides for customer teamsRequirementsActive U.S. TS Clearance required, w/ CI poly preferredMinimum of 5+ years of experience as a deployment engineer or solutions engineer, with expertise in customer-facing technical implementations and system integrations in government environments.Proficiency in DevSecOps practices, with experience in source code repositories and CI/CD pipeline solutions such as Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, and GitHub.Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and best practices for managing cloud infrastructure.Familiarity with containerization, Kubernetes (k8s) and orchestration tooling such as OpenShift, Rancher, and Helm.Ability to excel both independently and as part of a collaborative team.Effective communication and collaboration skills with the on-site customer and the support team.Willingness to work onsite and travel to meet mission requirements.Virtruvian qualities that will set you up for successThinking outside of the box to respectfully challenge your teammates and managers in the pursuit of excellenceStrong sense of urgency with an action-oriented mindsetAble to collaborate and adapt to shifting priorities as business needs evolveComfortable with asynchronous communication including slack, email, zoom, etc.Perks & BenefitsAt Virtru, we believe people do their best work when their wellbeing is put first.
