We focus on employee growth and community empowerment.Position SummaryThe Technician supports the installation, maintenance, and repair of roadway electrical infrastructure including traffic signals, highway lighting, ITS systems, and underground conduit systems. This role works under the direction of a Foreman or Licensed Electrician and executes field tasks safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) standards.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesAssist in installation of traffic signal systems: signal heads, cabinets, poles, detection systems.Assist in installation of roadway and highway lighting systems.Assist in installation of underground conduit systems: PVC, rigid conduit, duct banks, pull boxes, handholes, and electrical enclosures.Perform wire pulling, cable placement, and basic terminations under supervision.Assist with trenching, excavation, backfilling, and site preparation.Support installation of foundations, anchor bolts, and pole erection.Load, unload, and stage materials, tools, and equipment.Follow layout markings, instructions, and construction drawings.Assist with testing and troubleshooting of installed systems.Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.Support traffic control setup and roadway work zone safety.Participate in daily job briefings and safety meetings.Follow direction from Foreman and Electricians to meet production goals.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferred.1–3 years of construction experience preferred (electrical or civil a plus).Basic understanding of construction tools and equipment.Willingness to learn roadway electrical systems and installation practices.Additional Skills, Abilities, and RequirementsStrong work ethic and reliability.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Basic mechanical aptitude.Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately.Strong safety awareness and willingness to follow procedures.Ability to learn new skills quickly.What We OfferCompetitive wages.Health, dental, and vision insurance plans.Life insurance.Short-term and long-term disability coverage.Optional employee-paid policies (critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident).401(k) with company matching.Paid holidays, paid time off, and paid jury duty leave.Employee assistance program and referral bonus.Performance evaluation program.Company-branded merchandise and tool incentives.Safety, skills, and leadership training.Paid electrical license continuing education and renewal fees.#J-18808-Ljbffr
