Job DescriptionUnder immediate direction, provides timely response of customer inquiries up to and including pick-ups, schedules, product orders, etc., and all other aspects of a customer's needs. Dispatches vehicles on a pre-set route for each CSR on a daily basis in the interest of efficient customer service. The Dispatcher also monitors compliance with company policies and federal and state regulations. The job interfaces frequently with clients, peers, and managers.Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions)Assists drivers with problems/issues as they arise (during the day or at the end of the route).Communicate driver issues with Customer Service, Transportation Supervisor and/or Facility Manager.Assist Customer Service with customer requests, route changes, and rescheduling for pickups/missed stops.Provides highest level of customer service to all customers in line with Customer 1st objectives.Monitors and escalates Salesforces cases to supervisor.Assist walk‑in customers area.Assist Transportation Supervisor on Logistics and Transportation.Understands and reviews daily the Atlas routing system.Conducts daily debriefs for all drivers in accordance with written SOPs.Assists drivers with handheld/printer use. Ensures handheld entry back‑up to mobile hub. Resolves/escalates issues related to handhelds/mobile hub.Builds and prints routes for drivers daily, including but not limited to shipping documents, route sheets, and barcode labels.Dispatches drivers for extra or missed pick‑ups.Reviews driver's paperwork (VCR and logbook) and files paperwork.Forwards VCR reports to Transportation Supervisor/Manager for maintenance request.Reviews and updates routes, new customers based on daily communication, reroutes existing customers as required.Completes consolidated manifests for trailer shipments.Ensures that routes are balanced daily.Prepares reviews and stamps all manifests.Assists Trans Supervisor/Manager as needed/directed.Downloads PDTs from previous night.Handles 3rd Party Hauler paperwork.Tracks and input DOT hours/JJ Keller.Monitors Company policies and procedures, communicating to staff as necessary.Communicates performance standards and objectives.Monitors operations and work of all CSRs.Keeps staff informed of current problems, changes, and new developments in the department and company by conducting professional, organized, and participative meetings.Performs any other administrative duties assigned by management.QualificationsBasic Required Qualifications:High school diploma or GED.One or more years of experience as an Administrative Assistant.Skills to use or ability to quickly learn programs and systems required for the job (Salesforce CRM, JJ Keller, Atlas routing software).Preferred Qualifications:Two or more years of transportation/logistic experience.Demonstrates the ability to work safely and carefully to prevent injury to self or others.Demonstrates knowledge of computer software applications to include spreadsheets and word processing.Ability to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.Physical and Mental DemandsPeriods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Talking – constantly expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.Visual acuity – must have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, filing papers, operating a vehicle, etc.Additional InformationBenefits: Comprehensive benefits package includes paid time‑off policies, as well as health, dental, vision, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteering and more.
