Responsible for providing Radio Room coverage and support to maintain efficient operations of sub-processes; coordinating efforts of Managing Distribution Operations (MDO) employees with other departments, outside agencies and customers; preparing and completing accurate records, reports, databases, and forms; and facilitating safe, efficient operations.JOB FUNCTIONSResponsible for providing Radio Room coverage and ensure all shifts and days of the week have adequate coverage.Provide effective and courteous telephone customer service to internal and external customers.Document operational activities in forms and databases.Create, update, and improve work procedures.Receive, route, and assign routine maintenance and emergency work to appropriate personnel.Verify work orders for accuracy.Coordinate operations and support activities; inform supervision and work crews of any abnormal conditions.Prepare maintenance work activities and assist in prioritizing based on urgency.Takes “ownership” of assigned sub-processes and ensures these are properly documented, resourced, and executed.Provide written and/or oral reports on sub-process performance.Ensure compliance with applicable regulation, law, policies, and standard operating procedures.Coordinate operations with other departments, external agencies, and customers.Assist in solving problems by locating, reading, and interpreting distribution system plans and records.Support the security of Allmond Avenue Distribution facilities as appropriate (i.e., electronically close gate, lock down facility, monitor sign in & out process).Participate in training and cross training to develop a better knowledge and understanding of standard distribution system operations and repair methods.Support field personnel in day-to-day activities as needed.Prepare traffic plans utilizing appropriate software for the permit submittal process working with various governmental agencies ensuring compliance with applicable regulation and policies.Perform various administrative task including but not limited to: Process customer mass mailings for scheduled project work and water shut off, ordering office supplies, filing, typing correspondence, sort/route incoming/ outgoing mail, timekeeping, creating purchase requisitions, paying invoices, and other necessary administrative functions.Performs other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYNone.WORKING CONDITIONSGenerally, work a 40-hour work week in an office environment; work overtime as needed; 24/7 coverage provided by multiple shifts. Must be able to unexpectedly stay past the scheduled shift and work another shift.
