Cloud Developer
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Developer to support the Assessment and Retention Innovations (ARI) program under Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC). This role will provide day-to-day support in application systems administration, development, and Service Desk operations to ensure reliable workflow and system functionality for end users across Marine Corps Bases and Stations worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, build, testing, and maintenance of applications and business solutions within the Microsoft 365 platform.
- Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to build secure, scalable, and compliant solutions in both cloud and on-premise environments.
- Participate in the development and integration of tools and automation using Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving application development and deployment issues.
- Maintain documentation of development activities, architecture, and user guides.
- Ensure all solutions align with USMC IT directives, security policies, and DevSecOps practices.
- Support version control, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps lifecycle practices.
- Contribute to SharePoint development initiatives using the SharePoint Framework.
- Coordinate and communicate with peers and leadership on progress, issues, and resolutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps and SharePoint development.
- Hands-on experience in Microsoft 365 development, including Power Platform tools.
- Strong working knowledge of Azure and Amazon AWS cloud environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, source control, and cloud-based collaboration strategies.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical issues to development teams and leadership.
- Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and attention to detail.
Required Certifications:
- Microsoft 365 Certified Developer Associate (at time of hire)
- Microsoft 365 Certified Power Platform Developer Associate (must be obtained within 90 days of award).
- Microsoft 365 Certified Power Platform Solutions Architect Expert (must be obtained within 90 days of award).
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (must be obtained within 90 days of award)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) or DoD IT environments.
- Familiarity with USMC enterprise architecture, development standards, and compliance protocols.
- Working knowledge of Agile and SCRUM methodologies.
