Full Description The Weapons Systems Analyst evaluates foreign weapons systems, assessing their technical capabilities, operational performance, and vulnerabilities. The role contributes to strategic and tactical understanding by providing detailed insights into adversary force structures, technologies, and deployment patterns. Analysts in this role help inform planning, acquisition, and operational readiness by producing authoritative assessments for decision makers. Responsibilities

  • Analyze technical characteristics of foreign weapon systems.
  • Evaluate adversary capabilities and vulnerabilities.
  • Produce detailed technical reports for defense planners.
  • Maintain databases of weapons performance and proliferation.
  • Support wargaming and scenario-based analysis.

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field OR 9+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of weapons system analysis.
  • Ability to interpret foreign technical publications and test data.
