SUPERVISORY PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST

Job Description

Advise the Director of Emergency Services on all physical security matters.

Coordinate with other installation elements and other agencies in the preparation of emergency plans (i.e., bomb threats, disaster plans, etc.).

Prepare, maintain and update the arms, ammunition and explosives and physical security plans as they relate to the IMCOM and various tenant missions.

Conduct routine physical and internal security inspections unannounced, detecting deficiencies and violations of directives.

Prepare reports and make recommendations for remedial actions when warranted to appropriate supervisors/chiefs.

Monitor the key control system, badge system to insure adequacy and regulatory compliance.

Evaluate work performance of subordinates, and gives advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
