The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is responsible for managing and protecting the state's renewable natural resources, including all wildlife and aquatic life. This position is located in the Enforcement Division within the Office of the Secretary. The incumbent serves as the Confidential Assistant and executive-level administrative advisor to the Wildlife Enforcement Superintendent (Colonel) and the Appointing Authority for the Enforcement Division. Operates with extensive independent judgment, discretion, and authority while managing highly sensitive administrative, operational, and executive matters impacting statewide Enforcement operations and Department leadership. Functions as the primary executive liaison between the Colonel's Office and agency executive leadership, command staff, regional offices, the Governor's Office, state and federal agencies, and external partners regarding confidential law enforcement operations, executive initiatives, and high-level administrative responsibilities.
AN IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING COMPETENCIES:

Four years of experience in administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus one year of experience in administrative services; OR
A bachelor's degree plus one year of experience in administrative services; OR

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. Holidays and Leave - State employees receive the following paid holidays each year:

State employees earn sick and annual leave which can be accumulated and saved for future use. Your accrual rate increases as your years of service increase.
