Job Overview We are seeking a highly experienced engineer to support a geographically dispersed, next‑generation system that integrates Linux and Microsoft services. The successful candidate will design, deploy, and maintain McAfee Host Based Security System (HBSS) solutions within large‑scale multi‑domain Windows Server and hybrid cloud environments.Responsibilities Provide McAfee HBSS ESS support across a variety of environments and classification levels.Perform performance tuning and troubleshoot HBSS components in complex, distributed environments.Deploy, maintain, and tune McAfee clients to meet current and future security standards.Monitor HBSS software to ensure client/server operational status and proper reporting.Update environments in accordance with Department of Defense (DoW) standards and guidelines.Maintain and troubleshoot HBSS management systems.Required Skills & Experience 10+ years of experience in McAfee HBSS ESS design and management.Expert knowledge of McAfee ePO and HBSS modules (MA, HIPS, DLP, PA, VSE, RSD, ABM, ACCM).Proficiency in analyzing and configuring HIPS firewall, application whitelisting, intrusion prevention exclusions, DLP exclusions, and VSE exclusions.Experience with vulnerability assessment tools such as Nessus, SCAP, STIGs, checklists, and SRGs.Administration of ACAS SC and ACAS Nessus scanners.Additional experience with Microsoft or Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments, and cloud PaaS (AWS or Azure) is a plus.Experience managing work tasks via JIRA and ServiceNow.CompTIA Security+ or equivalent, DoW 8570 Level II certification, and completion of DoW 301 HBSS Advanced Administrator and DoW 501 HBSS Analyst courses are desirable.Education & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field.10+ years of related experience.TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required; candidate must currently possess the required clearance.US citizenship required.Location & Compensation On‑Site Work: USA, VA — Chantilly.Salary Range: $142,792 – $184,000 (est.)Equal Opportunity GDIT is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
