Unarmed Security Officer
Location: Florence, KY
Schedule: Full Time/Monday-Friday 4:00 pm-Midnight
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Job Skills / Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Steel-toed shoes or boots
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Position Summary
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor lobby and reception areas, greet arriving guests, verify identification and/or visitor records, and help manage access in accordance with location policies.
- Answer phones, assist with directions, and support badge issuance, visitor sign-in, and other front desk documentation related to security-related operations.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate details to site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Observe activity at the front desk and main entry points to help deter unauthorized access and report maintenance, access control, and other security-related concerns.
Additional Duties
- Monitor activity to prevent unauthorized access
- Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or unusual behavior
- Complete all required reports before the end of each shift
- Follow all company policies, attendance expectations, and professional standards
- Participate in required training and site orientation
Education Requirements (All)
HS Diploma GED or H.S. Equivalent
Certification Requirements (All)
Driver's License
