Traffic Control Flagger Technician

OverviewThe Patriot Group is seeking a reliable and hardworking Traffic Control Flagger / Technician to join our team. As a Traffic Control Flagger / Technician at The Patriot Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our team members and the public by implementing and maintaining traffic control plans in accordance with safety regulations and project requirements. You will have the opportunity to work on various projects that have a direct impact on our community.ResponsibilitiesSet up and remove traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barricadesDirect traffic flow to ensure the safety of drivers, pedestrians, and workers. Monitor and adjust patterns as needed while following all safety guidelines.Communicate effectively with team members, construction crews, drivers, and project managers to coordinate traffic control plansMonitor traffic conditions and adjust control devices as neededFollow safety guidelines and regulations at all timesImplement and maintain traffic control plans in accordance with safety regulations and project requirements.Discuss traffic routing plans, type and location of control points with supervisor.Warn construction workers when approaching vehicle fails to heed signals to prevent accident and injury to workers.Inform drivers of detour routes through construction sites.Record license number of traffic control violators for police.Observe safety and security procedures; determine appropriate action beyond guidelines; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly.Direct traffic when necessary to ensure safety of pedestrians, motorists and work crewRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentValid driver's license with a clean driving recordStrong attention to detail and ability to follow instructionsExperience controlling the movement of vehicular traffic through construction projects is preferredFlagger Certification OR be willing to complete company provided trainingWilling to work overtime and in all types of weather conditionsDependable and able to commit to long hours of work when necessaryWalk/Stand for long periods of timeMust pass pre-employment drug test/physical/background checkAbility to speak, read, and write in EnglishThe information in this job description indicates the general nature and level of work to be performed.
