Position SummaryThe Training Instructor is responsible for delivering curriculum-based instruction to contract security personnel assigned to Federal Protective Service (FPS) locations. This role includes conducting a wide range of security-related training and analyzing training data to support training needs assessments and recommendations.Training topics include, but are not limited to:Basic and Refresher Core Officer TrainingCPR/First Aid/AEDDefensive TacticsHandcuffingExpandable BatonOC SprayFirearms InstructionNational Weapons Detection Training Program (NWDT) modulesRequired Certifications and ExperienceMandatory CertificationsCandidates must present valid instructor-level certifications in the following: Firearms InstructorMust have completed an accredited Firearms Instructor course (e.g., NRA, Police Academy, state POST Academy, FLETC, or military equivalent) resulting in instructor certification.Minimum Experience Requirements At least two years of demonstrated experience in law enforcement or security methodologies.At least two years of documented instructor experience .Must meet Protective Security Officer qualification standards.Proficiency in developing documents using Microsoft Office applications.Preferred Instructor CertificationsInstructor credentials in the following areas are highly preferred: First Aid/CPR/AEDInstructor certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.Expandable BatonInstructor certification from an approved program (e.g., ASP, Monadnock, Police Academy, state POST Academy, FLETC, or military equivalent).OC SprayInstructor certification from an approved program (same approved sources as above).Defensive TacticsInstructor certification from an approved program (same approved sources as above).NWDTP Instructor (National Weapons Detection Training Program)Must hold current NWDTP instructor credentials.Education Required: High School Diploma or GEDPreferred: Bachelor's degree in Homeland Security, Security Administration, Criminal Justice, or a closely related fieldAdditional Requirements Must pass a medical exam and drug screeningMust be a U.S. CitizenMust be able to read, write, and speak English clearlyMust be able to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekendsGolden SVCS, LLC is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and a contractor to the Federal Protective Services.
