Job Description - Motor Carrier Enforcement Inspector (260004CE) Location: HP Bowling Green Post 12891 Middleton Pike Bowling Green 43402.Primary Location: United States of America, Ohio, Wood County, Bowling Green.Compensation: $24.16 - $30.55 per hour.Schedule: Full‑time. Work Hours: See Work Hours Below. Union: OCSEA.Primary Job Skill: Automotive.Responsibilities Documents and reports economic violations with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO).Investigates assigned complaints regarding violations of PUCO rules and regulations.Utilizes portable laptop and other computer equipment.Makes on‑site recommendations to correct violations.Provides assistance where possible.Maintains effective public relations with drivers, company representatives, law enforcement officers and others to ensure compliance with state and federal safety.Assists other inspectors, troopers and local law enforcement.Prepares and delivers presentations and/or training related to highway safety and compliance with state and federal rules.Testifies in court regarding violations.Qualifications Option 1: 6 months experience in enforcing commercial motor vehicle laws or regulations; 1 course or 3 months experience in public relations; valid driver's license.Option 2: 6 months training or 6 months experience in motor carrier inspection or commercial vehicle maintenance; 1 course or 3 months experience in public relations; valid driver's license.Option: Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment.Valid driver's license required.Benefits Multiple pay increases over the first years of service.Free parking.Paid training.Tools, uniforms, and dry cleaning provided.Primarily weekday shifts.Company vehicle.Voluntary overtime opportunities.Medical coverage.Free dental, vision and basic life insurance premiums after eligibility period.Paid time off, including vacation, personal, sick leave and 11 paid holidays per year.Childbirth, adoption and foster care leave.Education and development opportunities.Public retirement systems (OPERS, STRS, SERS, HPRS) and optional deferred compensation (Ohio Deferred Compensation).Additional Information Background check may include BCI and FBI fingerprint check, polygraph examination, drug test.
