Description
The Cleared Security Escort monitors and escorts authorized and uncleared personnel within secure facilities to help maintain compliance with site security and safety requirements. This role requires strong situational awareness, sound judgment, and professional communication while safeguarding controlled spaces, preventing unauthorized access, and promptly escalating concerns.
Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
The Cleared Security Escort monitors and escorts authorized and uncleared personnel within secure facilities to help maintain compliance with site security and safety requirements. This role requires strong situational awareness, sound judgment, and professional communication while safeguarding controlled spaces, preventing unauthorized access, and promptly escalating concerns.
Responsibilities
- Escort and continuously monitor authorized and uncleared personnel in secure or restricted areas.
- Maintain continuous visual contact and ensure escorted personnel comply with site security and safety procedures.
- Stop or report unsafe, unauthorized, or non-compliant activity immediately to protect personnel, facilities, and classified environments.
- Promptly notify the Escort Supervisor or designated point of contact of security, safety, or scope-of-work concerns.
- Document and communicate incidents, observations, and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Serve as a professional representative of the organization while interacting with employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Remain alert and maintain situational awareness at all times while performing escort duties.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret clearance required.
- U.S. Citizenship required; must provide a valid U.S. Passport Book or Passport Card.
- Minimum age of 18.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to interpret procedures and apply security and safety rules accurately.
- Strong customer service, professionalism, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a secure facility environment.
- Availability to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Top Secret clearance with Polygraph preferred.
- Prior experience in security, military, law enforcement, access control, or escort support roles.
- Experience working in secure, restricted, or government-controlled environments.
- Strong incident reporting and documentation skills.
- This role is performed in a secure facility environment and may require extended periods of standing, walking, and maintaining alertness.
- Schedules may include day, evening, weekend, holiday, or other mission-driven shift coverage as needed.
