The Surface Training Systems (STS) Program Office, PMS 339, is the OPNAV single point of contact for strategic program planning, policy, acquisition, life‑cycle management, research and development, and technical insertion into all existing and future Navy Surface Training Systems. This position is a hybrid position in the greater Washington, DC area with requirements to be present in the Washington Navy Yard, Washington, DC with one day's notice.This position supports PAE Maritime PMS 339 in the management of a new Surface Training Data Ecosystem (STDE) program. You will support the PMS 339 STDE Assistant Program Manager in coordinating AI/ML integration efforts across the Surface Training Program (STP). The role is primarily program office support such as coordination, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and analytical support. Although not a Technical Engineering or Data Scientist position, the right candidate can navigate the AI/ML, Data accessibility and related IT architecture problem space, engage credibly with technical and senior stakeholders, and drive coordination on issues.In this role you will:Coordinate across NAVSEA (HQ/Warfare Centers), TYCOM (SMWDC, ATGs), NETC (SCSTC, SWSC), RMCs and OPNAV N96D on STDE data provisioning, Learning Center modernization, and AI/ML integration timelines.Support development of AI/ML enabled program office dashboards, briefs, and status products for PMS339, NAVSEA, and N96D leadership.Track and document AI/ML integration requirements within the Surface Training Program (STP) Interoperability Standards (SIS) framework, including Data Lake standards, AI governance, and T&E criteria for AI tools.Draft and coordinate acquisition documentation (SOWs, justification packages, requirements docs) related to STDE and AI/ML efforts.Support Integrated Product Team(s) and Cross Functional Team(s) participation by preparing meeting materials, capturing action items, and ensuring STDE equities are represented.Maintain working awareness of GenAI.mil and industry tools to inform coordination efforts.To be successful in this role, you must have:U.S. CitizenshipAn active Secret security clearanceA bachelor's degree with 7 years of related experience; however, significant operational military experience and/or technical certifications may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
