About This RoleAt NORESCO, Project Developers direct the development of complex projects by identifying, assessing, and structuring technical and financial solutions for our federal customers' resiliency, energy efficiency, and capital improvement challenges. They have a strong understanding of a wide range of technology offerings and possess the communication and business skills necessary to bridge the gap between sales, engineering, construction management, and O&M groups. Project Developers translate customer needs into strategic and technical guidance for the development team and serve as a primary point of contact with senior executives within our organization and the customer's organization to ensure risk‑mitigated, customer‑centric projects.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical/financial support of sales activities.Perform financial modeling of Energy Performance Contracts.Write and review proposals, manage quality control, and coordinate the proposal team.Conduct walk‑throughs of customer facilities to determine project viability.Interview customers to assess facility needs and expectations.Assist in preparing customer presentations and present the business case in interviews and meetings.Analyze energy conservation measures (ECMs) for technical and financial viability.Identify ECM and project risk, developing plans to mitigate risks.Coordinate proposal document strategy and tactics with the team.Lead risk‑review meetings and present business cases to senior management.Manage the proposal team, including Account Executive, Senior Energy Engineer(s), Lighting and Water Auditor/Designer, Construction Manager, O&M, M&V Specialist, Legal and Finance.Host regular conference calls to communicate strategy, review responsibilities, and track progress.Oversee PA and IGA/DFS budgets and timelines to deliver project deliverables on time and within budget.Secure project awards and remain engaged through implementation to manage contract compliance and customer satisfaction.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree.5+ years of experience as a project developer, project engineer, or in project management.U.S. citizenship.Preferred QualificationsExperience on Federal ESPC and UESC.Experience developing Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) projects and/or Utility Energy Service Contracts (UESC).General engineering knowledge of HVAC, lighting & controls, DDC/pneumatic controls, and building envelope, plus experience with resiliency measures such as onsite generation (PV, CHP, battery storage, microgrid).Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.Strong technical writing skills.Sales aptitude, keen business acumen, strong communication, project management, and team leadership abilities.Pay RangeThe annual salary for this position ranges from $96,000.00 to $192,000.00, influenced by skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.Other CompensationThis position is entitled to short‑term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.BenefitsHealth Care: Medical, Dental, Vision, wellness incentives.Retirement benefits.Paid time off: Vacation up to 15 days, sick days up to 5, personal leave up to 5, holidays up to 13, birth and adoption leave, parental leave, family and medical leave, bereavement leave, jury duty leave, military leave, purchased vacation.Disability (short‑term and long‑term).Life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment.Tax‑advantaged accounts: Health Savings Account, Health Care Spending Account, Dependent Care Spending Account.Tuition assistance.Carrier EEO Statement and Accommodations ProcessCarrier is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
