This is a direct lobbying role — you'll be on the Hill executing, not just advising from the sidelines. You'll own Reflection AI's federal legislative agenda, drive strategy and execution, and build the relationships that turn policy goals into wins.What You'll DoEngage with policymakers across Congress and the Executive Branch on Reflection AI's priority issues, including national security, procurement, energy, infrastructure, and AI governanceOwn the full lobbying cycle: identify targets, develop the ask, schedule and execute meetings, track commitments, and follow through to outcomesMonitor and engage on relevant legislation, markups, and regulatory activity — providing real‑time intelligence to leadership and flagging inflection points that require actionDevelop and execute advocacy campaigns in coordination with cross functional partnersDraft and deliver leave‑behinds, one‑pagers, testimony support, and other materials that make our policy positions land on the HillAdvise leadership on political feasibility, legislative timing, and stakeholder dynamics — translating what's happening into clear strategic guidanceRepresent Reflection AI at political and policy eventsManage relationships with external consultants and lobbying firmsWhat We're Looking For7+ years of experience in‑house, at a firm, or in government with a clear record of influencing legislative outcomesActive, trusted relationships with policymakersExperience in technology policy strongly preferredComfortable getting up to speed quickly on complex technical subject matterSharp written and verbal communicator — you can distill a complex AI policy issue into a two‑minute pitch or a crisp one‑pagerExceptional judgementEnergized by a fast‑moving startup environment where you're building the playbook, not inheriting oneWhat We Offer:We believe that to build superintelligence that is truly open, you need to start at the foundation.
