    Lead Dispatcher – Lansing, MichiganTransdev in Lansing, Michigan is hiring a Lead Dispatcher. The Lead Dispatcher ensures the Dispatch team fills all routes and provides operators with timely instructions and responses. We are seeking customer service‑oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.BenefitsStarting hourly rate of $20–$23.50Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeksSick days: 5 daysHolidays: 12 days (8 standard and 4 floating)401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, voluntary long‑term disabilityKey ResponsibilitiesOversee road service and trip performance measures (route start time, on‑time performance, incidents)Respond to customer questions and concerns about no shows, cancellations, and missed tripsManage vehicle operator emergency situations & escalated callsSupervise staff on weekends and eveningsManage department reports and other communication toolsSupport the Dispatch Supervisor in training new employeesOther duties as requiredQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalentMinimum of 2–3 years of transit supervisory experience preferredExcellent communication & interpersonal skillsMust be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as neededSubject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.Physical RequirementsSit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfacesPush and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground levelDrug‑free WorkplaceBe eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.)Successfully pass a pre‑employment drug screenTransdev is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
