Valiant is looking for a DTT Protection SME to join our team! This full‑time exempt (salary) position supports the ARNG Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP). Doctrinal Training Team SMEs support ARNG unit commanders and staff from battalion through division by providing doctrinal workshops, over‑the‑shoulder training, and coaching during individual and collective event support at unit‑designated training sites. The Multi‑Domain Protection SME is responsible for collective training, including exercise design, planning, preparation, execution, and assessment. They assist in developing scenarios, script writing, tactical orders, and other supporting JELC products.Responsibilities and DutiesPlan and deliver all sixteen Protection WFF tasks for Brigade to Division levels in support of the training audience during live, virtual, constructive, and gaming collective training.Be proficient in current Army Protection (MP, Chemical, ADA, Engineer) doctrine and processes, and identify new and emerging Army and Joint Protection doctrine.Provide risk management and development of protection priorities through critical and defended assets list over‑the‑shoulder support for Protection cells and the following C2 Information Systems: AMDWS, CPOF, CPCE.Develop scheme maneuver support and protection products, including OPORD essential elements of friendly information, CAL, DAL, ANNEXE (Protection) and ANNEXG (Engineer) products to facilitate training.Replicate the functions of higher HQs within the Protection WFF to Battalion through Division training audiences (Protection WGs and HICOM products to drive training).Compile data and inputs from multiple sources to enhance SME support and training.Provide SME in determination of risk assessments and vulnerability assessment processes at ARNG levels; train Protection staff to develop mitigating solutions and advocate implementation of DoD programs and objectives.Act as advisor, trainer, and SME for Brigade through Division units during planning through execution, including AAR of MCTSP‑supported collective events.Plan, coordinate, prepare, and conduct FTXs, CPXs, STAFFEXs, Fires EXs, LOGEXs, Digital COMMEXs, MDMP workshops, CP proficiency training, and other supporting events.Execute doctrinally current STAFFEXs for ARNG Division to Battalions, providing commanders and staffs the opportunity to apply war‑fighting skills using the MDMP framework.Develop doctrinally current training materials including higher command orders, reports, briefings and lead requested workshops.Coach, teach, and train units over‑the‑shoulder during exercises to assist the commander in achieving training objectives.Coordinate constructive events with other MCTSP elements for ARNG units, facilitating opportunity to exercise operations orders from STAFFEXs.Provide honest and relevant on‑site feedback to commanders and staff in informal discussions.Prepare or provide input into the Final Exercise Report (FER) addressing planning, preparation, and execution of each fully executed DTT event.Develop theater‑specific scripting of master scenario events lists (MSEL), or simulation control injects integrated with training exercises; may serve in HICOM role during exercises.Conduct in‑depth research on evolving doctrine, theater‑specific operations, lessons learned, and newly developed TTPs for MSEL or simulation injects that replicate operational environment.Synchronize MTC training capabilities assets during and leading up to collective events.Analyze progress and develop necessary recovery plans or alternatives.Ensure adherence to company and site policies, practices and procedures.Safeguard and maintain company and government‑furnished equipment, materials and facilities.Coordinate required safety information through direct coordination with government leadership.Ensure compliance with government and contract guidelines, regulations, policies and standards.Report directly to the DTT Lead.Other duties as assigned.Security RequirementActive SecretEducation RequirementsBA/BSMA/MS (Preferred)Completion of the Command and General Staff College or equivalent level military schooling (Preferred)Required Qualifications2+ years working within WFF area Army Command and Control Information Systems.6+ years combined staff experience within the WFF; 8+ years specialized MCTSP experience.Previous senior Army or ARNG leadership experience with a training management background; preferable CTC experience.Primarily staff experience in the WFF at Battalion or higher.Previous Battalion or higher commander preferred (or similar).Recent experience working within the Army National Guard training support system or similar.Available to support overtime and travel as needed.Physical RequirementsPhysical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, various degrees.
