Security Manager
Perform Carillon Miami Wellness Resort security duties and procedures to ensure the safety and security of guests, residents, employees, and the property as well as the property assets.
- Assumes Duties of the Security Manager in his/her absence
- Ensure all safety and security personnel perform their duties following Carillon policies and procedures, and as instructed by the Director of Safety & Security, Assistant Director of Safety & Security, and Security Manager.
- Develops and administers the work schedule for the security staff.
- Conducts and oversees training of all new security officers as well as ongoing training requirements for current security officers.
- Oversees the Security Key Control program, Key watcher, and property access control system (SALTO PROACCESS SPACE).
- Ensure accurate input and purging of Lost & Found Items in MS SHIFT.
- Arranges for and conducts monthly safety trainings as required for Carillon Miami Wellness Resort. Additionally, department-specific safety & security monthly topics.
- Review security and safety reports for completeness and accuracy; distributes reports to other departments as required.
- Prepares and forwards reports as requested by the Director of Safety & Security, the Assistant Director of Safety & Security, and the Security Manager.
- Assist in completing payroll documentation.
- Investigate security and safety incidents, including guest, resident, and employee interviews as necessary, document, and findings.
- Coach & Counsel Security staff when necessary.
- Ensures cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area.
- Ensure property patrols are conducted as required.
- Assist Carillon management when required.
- Maintains accurate records and conducts department materials inventories when necessary.
- Report and document any observed or known safety hazards, conditions, or unsafe practices and procedures to management immediately.
Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years of security and safety experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, in a Hotel / Resort environment.
- Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with all levels of Carillon Miami staff, vendors, guests, residents, and government agencies.
- Excellent customer service and positive interpersonal skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good judgment and the ability to maintain confidentiality are critical.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to grasp, list, and /or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a maximum of 200 lbs and sufficient manual dexterity in hands.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and be able to prevent and/or handle emergency situations.
- Be able to work a flexible schedule if required, including weekends and holidays.
Certifications / Licenses- Required or Able to Obtain
- CPR / First Aid AED certification
- Class D Security License
