This individual will play a key role in managing satellite licensing and spectrum‑related matters, developing regulatory positions, and supporting strategic initiatives tied to next‑generation connectivity solutions. The ideal candidate brings deep FCC and satellite regulatory expertise, strong business judgment, and the ability to independently manage complex licensing and regulatory matters in a dynamic environment.Salary Range: $199,000 – $371,000 base salaryResponsibilities Lead and support U.S. regulatory and government affairs initiatives related to satellite communications and telecommunications policyPrepare, submit, and manage FCC filings, licensing applications, and related regulatory documentationOversee spectrum management and satellite licensing activities while ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirementsMonitor changes within the domestic telecommunications and satellite regulatory environment and provide strategic guidance to internal stakeholdersHelp shape advocacy strategies and organizational positions on complex regulatory and policy mattersRepresent the organization before agencies including the FCC, NTIA, and other regulatory bodiesSupport international spectrum and satellite regulatory initiatives, conferences, and working groupsProvide legal analysis, regulatory interpretation, and compliance support across business operations and strategic initiativesPartner cross‑functionally with engineering teams, executives, consultants, and outside counsel on technical and regulatory mattersAssist with strategic partnerships, growth initiatives, and emerging regulatory opportunities within the communications industryIndependently manage routine and moderately complex licensing matters with limited oversight while contributing to broader regulatory strategyQualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active U.S. bar admission required8+ years of experience in telecommunications regulatory affairs, government affairs, or related legal/regulatory environmentsStrong experience with FCC licensing, satellite regulatory matters, and spectrum‑related filingsDemonstrated ability to independently draft and manage FCC applications and regulatory submissionsDeep understanding of FCC frameworks, licensing procedures, and telecommunications regulationsExperience supporting satellite operators, connectivity providers, or telecommunications organizations strongly preferredFamiliarity with international spectrum and satellite organizations such as ITU, CITEL, or WRC activities is a plusPrior law firm or in‑house telecommunications regulatory experience preferredAbility to collaborate effectively with technical teams, engineers, and senior business stakeholdersStrong communication, analytical, and relationship management skillsEntrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in evolving and fast‑moving environmentsProven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution and detailed regulatory workHigh level of professionalism, sound judgment, and ownership mentality#J-18808-Ljbffr
