Cryptographic Modernization Analyst (TS/SCI) – Pentagon (Onsite)
Location: Arlington, VA (Pentagon – 100% onsite)
Clearance: Active TS/SCI Required
Employment Type: 6 month contract to hire
Compensation: $130k-$140k Overview
Insight Global is seeking a Cryptographic Modernization Analyst to support a high-visibility mission at the Pentagon, focused on enterprise-wide cryptographic modernization. This role sits at the intersection of COMSEC, policy, and emerging post-quantum cryptography (PQC) efforts, directly supporting senior DoD leadership. This is a highly strategic role requiring someone who can coordinate across stakeholders, manage competing taskings, and translate complex technical efforts into clear, executive-level communications. Key Responsibilities Lead coordination and management of cryptographic modernization taskings and memos
Develop policy memos, issue papers, executive briefings, and reports for senior DoD leadership
Respond to congressional inquiries and support legislative reporting requirements
Track, assess, and help establish a baseline of enterprise cryptographic assets
Support COMSEC initiatives, including key management and cryptographic posture improvements
Validate incoming data, identify gaps, and follow up with stakeholders to ensure accuracy
Manage task flow from intake through completion, including prioritization and status tracking
Collaborate with CIO offices, PQC stakeholders, and cross-functional teams Required Qualifications ✅ Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
✅ Meets one of the following experience/education requirements: Master's + 12+ years of IT experience
Bachelor's + 14+ years of IT experience
18+ years of IT experience (no degree required) ✅ Strong experience with COMSEC / communications security
✅ Hands-on experience with cryptography and key management
✅ Familiarity with post-quantum cryptography (PQC)
✅ Proven ability to develop briefings, talking points, and executive presentations
✅ Strong communication skills with experience engaging senior DoD leadership Preferred Qualifications Experience with Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS)
Background supporting federal task management workflows
Additional experience with cryptographic key management
Familiarity with standardized government action tracking systems
