The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Cyber Intelligence Analyst providing cyber threat analysis and analytic support to the production and sustainment of Air Force warfighting capabilities. Supports sustainment and improvement of AF capabilities by identifying cyber related threats and intelligence requirements and providing intelligence data and assessments in a timely/secure manner. Responsibilities - Provide cyber intelligence analysis to Air Force logistics and sustainment programs, systems, and processes. - Develop and present Cyber Threat Assessments. - Serve as a multi-source Intelligence Specialist specializing in cyber threat and cyber-security intelligence. - Identify and address customer intelligence requirements and present Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, products, and services throughout the AF sustainment enterprise in support of cyber resiliency. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of the intelligence cycle and intelligence policy and guidance, and the structure, organization, roles and missions, and inter-relationships of the national Intelligence Community (IC); knowledge of acquisition policy and guidance and the role intelligence plays throughout a weapons system's life-cycle; and/or the ability to apply advanced intelligence analytical principles, concepts, and methods to produce detailed analyses. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of a comprehensive range of intelligence research methods, techniques, and practices and advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods used to identify and analyze complex multi-source intelligence information to produce detailed cyber intelligence capabilities and cyber threat assessments, identify cyber-related intelligence deficiencies, and advocate for customers cybersecurity requirements. 2. Knowledge of acquisition policy and guidance and the role cyber intelligence plays throughout a weapon system's life cycle; Acquisition and Sustainment Intelligence analysis mission and strategy; and the roles and responsibilities of field intelligence offices in support of research laboratories, acquisition program offices, and life cycle management, nuclear, sustainment, and system testing enterprises. 3. Knowledge of the intelligence cycle, intelligence policy and guidance, and the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations, and mission/functions, inter-relationships and operations-particularly as it pertains to cyber threat intelligence collection, analysis, and production. 4. Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing intelligence requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities in support of customers' cyber threat and cyber risk management needs. 5. Skill in communicating effectively with others, both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes. 6. Ability to maintain control of classified material, quickly assimilate disparate data, render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data, and make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure based on mature judgment and experience and present and/or defend a position effectively. Ideal Candidate: 3-5 years of experience conducting cyber threat intelligence analysis and an advanced intelligence-related or professional/scientific degree is highly desirable. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education IF USING EDUCATION TO QUALIFY: If position has a positive degree requirement or education forms the basis for qualifications, you MUST submit transcripts with the application.
