Service DispatcherThe Service Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of a team of service technicians. This role ensures efficient workflow management, maximizes technician productivity, schedules and dispatches service work. The Service Dispatcher serves as a key liaison between customers, technicians, and management to ensure service objectives are met safely, efficiently, and on schedule.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and dispatch service technicians to meet customer and operational requirements.Oversee daily production and performance of a team of technicians.Monitor workflow, technician utilization, and job progress to maximize productivity and efficiency.Prioritize service requests and assign work based on technician skill level, availability, and workload.Track work orders from initiation through completion, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.Monitor daily service schedule and adjust to meet proper shop capacity levelCommunicate scheduling updates, service priorities, and operational changes to technicians and management.Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve operational performance.Collaborate with parts, service, and sales departments to ensure timely completion of customer requests.Monitor technician performance metrics and assist management in achieving departmental goals.Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical or business-related education preferred.Previous dispatching, service coordination, or supervisory experience preferred.Strong organizational, scheduling, and multitasking abilities.Experience managing workflows in a service, maintenance, equipment, automotive, or industrial environment.Proficient with service management software, work order systems, and Microsoft Office applications.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
