Job Responsibilities- Under limited supervision, provide assistance to the Warden of an adult male medium/maximum security institution to ensure instructions and directives are implemented.
- Responsible to the Warden in the areas of medical, education, maintenance, cafeteria, business, horticulture, prison industries, recreation, religious activities, mail room, commissary, canteen and human services.
- Dually supervise one administrative assistant and one administrative specialist.
- Working hours will vary.
- On Call.

(803) 896-1649 Minimum and Additional Requirements State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree and supervisory experience in a correctional environment or relevant military experience. Relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
SCDC Minimum Requirements: - A high diploma and ten (10) years' experience in correctional, security, military, or police work, which must Include five (5) years of supervisory experience in a correctional environment.
- A bachelor's degree may substitute for 4 years of overall experience.
- Associate degree may substitute for 2 years of overall experience.
- No substitutions for supervisory experience.
- Must be certified by the SCDC training academy and successfully complete the basic supervisory course within six (6) months of entry into the position.
