    DispatcherThis part-time Dispatcher role provides flexible coverage to support transportation operations during staffing gaps, including PTO and other absences. The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating transportation activities within an assigned market and may support additional markets as needed to ensure seamless operations.Responsibilities:Demonstrate and uphold company Core Values: Trust, Team, Results, Pride, Fun, and TransparencyCoordinate and oversee daily transportation operations, including dispatching drivers and managing load assignmentsCommunicate effectively with customers, drivers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of freightSupport the preparation and management of shipping and transportation documentationMonitor and optimize fleet utilization to drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service performanceEnsure adherence to service level agreements (SLA's) for both internal and external customersAssist in coordinating third-party transportation services, including securing competitive quotes when neededMonitor driver activity, schedules, and equipment usage to ensure operational coverage and efficiencyReview and track fleet performance using tools such as GPS and ELD systems, escalating concerns as appropriateSupport fleet maintenance and inspection scheduling to ensure safe and reliable operationsMaintain compliance with all applicable safety, regulatory, and company standards, including OSHA and DOT requirementsServe as a liaison between transportation operations and cross-functional teams to support business needsComplete all required training and perform additional duties as assignedPhysical Demands:Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periodsFrequent walking throughout the facility to support admin and operational needsAbility to lift and carry office or supply items up to 25 lbsCompany Information:Gavel Transport is looking for a Dispatcher to help reinforce our ambition to become one of the greatest places to work.
