Job OverviewThis position is for a full-time security officer for a HOA Club House and recreational spaces.Shift HoursShift Hours: 12pm - 8pmFriday, Saturday, SundayDutiesDuties include but not limited to: Foot patrol of club house, ensuring facility is locked up. Patrol pool and recreation areas. Sign in guests and confirm entrance eligibility. Enforce clubhouse and pool area HOA regulations.Ability to utilize guard tour apps (TRACKTIK) on a smart phone is highly desirable.Additional ResponsibilityFoot patrol of interior/exterior areas of assigned locationsObserve and report suspicious activities and personsWrite detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports (DARs)Enforce and Follow rules, regulations, policies, proceduresRespond to emergency situationsUse initiative and independent judgment within established guidelinesUse of innovative, wireless technology for checkpoints and requirements, immediate synchronization, reports, forms and locations in real-time (client specific sites)Position RequirementsGuard License and must always carry the license while on dutyMust display exceptional customer service and communication skills.Intermediate computer skills to utilize innovative, wireless technology at client specific sitesStand or walk constantly (for up to an entire shift) on various surfaces (tile, concrete, carpet)Climb stairs or ramps occasionally during shiftOccasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various dutiesOccasionally lift or carry up to 40 poundsConstant use of both hands and arms in reaching/handling/grasping/fingering while using phone, notepad, writing reports, and other administrative tasksConstant use of eyes (correctable vision to normal level required) to observe, read, interact with public and co-workers, view security monitors; includes hand/eye coordinationRead, understand and speak English; constantly use speech and hearing (correctable to normal level required) in communicating with public/co-workers, giving and receiving instructions, using phonesMust possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective mannerMust be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwritingMust be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructionsWork in various environments including adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, rain or heatConstant mental alertness and attention to detail required while setting priorities and following up on assignmentsMust be able to handle pressure of working with high volume general public (constantly to occasionally depending on assignment)Interview and OnboardingInterview, onboarding and orientation will take place at our corporate offices.Location and ContactBarry's Security; 16739 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA 92504Contact: 951-789-7575, Option 4Equal Employment OpportunityWe are an equal employment opportunity employer.
